Scouring the White Horse: 1750-1900

The Uffington White Horse has overlooked our village for the past 3000 years. Without the care and attention of the community, the horse today would be a distant memory. This exhibition looks to better understand who maintained the horse, and the celebrations connected with the scouring -- often attracting thousands of people to the area.
